Featured Question

Q: How much is an Americano? Are we supposed to assume it's just the price of a "spro?" Also not price listed. Thanks,

A: An Americano is a shot of espresso with water. There is no charge for water. We do not feel that it is necessary to put Americano on the menu, as any establishment with the capabilities of serving espresso would naturally have the ability to make an Americano. It will be the same cost as 'spro', a shot of espresso. Furthermore, crema or essential coffee oil in americanos generally dissipate by the time the beverage is cool enough to enjoy which tends to lower quality as the drink profile will be more watery, astringent in both acidity and bitterness. We try to encourage shorter water ratios and automatically add an extra shot in any large beverage. Another minor reason why we do not offer Americano on the menu, but will gladly make it if requested. We ask our patrons to advise us on adding milk or cream before we make the drink. This way the shot is pulled on top and will preserve the crema, coating your tongue with the natural coffee oil and will help bind the drink. Hope this helps!
