Q: I live in Manatee County and I would like to join the Manatee County Library. How do I go about joining?
A: Hi! I'm assuming you're looking for a library card. You would need a Driver's License or any form of documentation that states that you live in Manatee County. From there, you would just need to visit one of the six library locations Manatee County has and the Library Assistant/Librarian at the desk will take over from there. The whole process should only take a few minutes and you do get to choose your library card from one of the four choices available! If you google 'Manatee County Library Card' that first link should take you to their library information page. If you meant joining as in getting a job through Manatee Library, I believe all of the positions are currently filled. Always check their website for updates (From the home page go to Departments, then Human Resources, then Apply for job). Hope this helps! :)
