Q: Does this library have a genealogy section?

A: The Genealogy page of our website (www.cclsys.org/ccl-genealogy-research) details the many resources and services that we offer at the library and online, including our Pennsylvania Room (located on our third floor), online Genealogy Indexes of birth, marriage, naturalization, cemetery records (and more), and reference services provided by our staff. For your information, our Pennsylvania Room collection consists of both state and local history, local authors, and genealogy resources such as Johnstown city directories beginning in 1869, the Pennsylvania Archives series, church and individual family histories, and World War II scrapbooks. The room is open during normal library business hours, no appointment necessary. Thanks for your interest and question.
