Q: Where are the owners originally from?

A: I was going for Armenian. My parents were immigrants from Spain (also NOT hispanic). Spain is in Europe, in case you didn't know... and honestly what's the big deal about asking?! People should be proud of their heritage. Unless you are American Indian, you also have roots that are not from the US. Maybe you're not proud of it, who knows? I used to live in Kearny, went there all the time, the other day we were talking about how much we missed their subs and the two brothers, and we were wondering where they were from. I didn't want to drive two hours to ask. It was an innocent and non-creepy question in my opinion. I don't ever remember them having a flag of some sort waving outside the store, so at some point, you yourself must have asked the "creepy" question or been involved in a conversation about it, lol. I think you are overly sensitive and easily offended like everyone nowadays. No worries, at some point we'll visit and get those great subs and ask ourselves.
