About Lurie Garden
Lurie Garden is Millennium Park's 'secret garden'. This unique garden is open and beautiful every season and offers overs over 70 free nature programs per year. Lurie Garden is planted in a naturalistic style by the internationally renowned garden designer, Piet Oudolf. Jacqueline van der Kloet designed the garden's Spring Bulb Display. The garden is home to birds, bees, butterflies, and other wildlife because we use no pesticides and we use ecologically-friendly garden practices. While not all of the plants here are considered native, many are and their percentage is increased every year. Locals and tourists visit the garden to see this remarkable planting and enjoy its structural design, by Gustafson Guthrie Nichol.
