About Ferndale Area District Library
The Ferndale Area District Library is a library located in southeastern Michigan, near the heart of downtown. There's plants and vegetation growing on our green roof and geothermal heat from the Earth warming the aisles, study rooms, computer lab and children's reading area. We are honored to be able to continue offering our services to you in this highly impressive/exciting edifice - packed with state of the art features, yet still aiming to offer you that cozy/quaint reading space or the dignified/hallowed hall of knowledge atmosphere you've come to expect and to love from your Ferndale Library staff.
Featured Question
Q: Do you have to be a resident of Ferndale to sign out book, or is there a fee that you have to pay
A: Yes Brandy is correct. If you're a Detroit resident you would first need to have a library card through their library system, and from there request a Michlib sticker that would then enable you to borrow books and/or media from Ferndale. Detroit residents may borrow up to 10 items at a time.
