Featured Question
Q: Is this library open to the public? Looking for a study space and possibly checking out books.
A: Our library buildings are open to the public and the public is welcome to use the building for study purposes. Our computer banks are not available for public use, and our print stations require both a personal laptop and the purchase of a guest printing card, located in Neilson on the first floor next to the printing station. Area Residents of Hampshire, Hampden and Franklin Counties, 18 years or older, may purchase a library card for an annual fee which provides limited borrowing privileges from the Smith College Libraries. A purchased library card is valid for borrowing circulating items from Neilson Library and the Five College Library Annex only; items cannot be borrowed from Hillyer Art or Josten Performing Arts libraries.
