About Rum River Library
The Rum River Library, established in 1988, moved to the current location in 2000. Features include inspiring spaces for all ages to enjoy, a computer lab, conference room and meeting rooms, and a drive-up materials return. With a touch of both historic and contemporary, we proudly display a beautiful stained glass window from Anoka Public Library's original Carnegie library as well as a mural designed by local artist and teacher Diane Groenwold and eight of her advanced studio-art students to inspire readers. A natural prairie surrounds the library, and the Anoka Nature Preserve is in our backyard with a scenic walking trail connecting the library to the Preserve and downtown Anoka.
