About Lakes Regional Library
Rutenberg Library, the 9th branch of the Lee County Library System, opened in 1991. A larger facility was built in 2005 and renamed Lakes Regional Library. Thanks to a generous donation from the Frances Prigmore estate, the library was remodeled in 2020 to include new community study rooms, an enlarged and enclosed teen section and a designated "tween" space.

Q: how do you request a hold on books
A: You can access the Lee County Library System catalog of materials on our website. Choose "Search the Catalog" from the options in the left hand column. From the catalog you can see the locations of a particular title by clicking "Availability." "Check Shelf" means the item is available at that specific location. You can request materials by clicking "Place Request." We would be happy to show you additional ways of searching our online catalog. Please visit our Reference Desk.
