About Gail Borden Public Library District: Main Library

The Gail Borden Public Main Library is the third largest public library building in Illinois. It serves a very diverse community of about 150,000 residents in its Library District -- the 5th largest Library population in Illinois. In addition to offering a multitude of free programs and resources for the community, you can frequently find a large-scale, museum-quality exhibit being offered. There is always something being offered for all ages. The Library's mission statement is, "The Library where imagination & transformation flourish, fueled by the power of community."
