Q: I want to donate books to you. They are in very good condition. How do I go about donating them. Jay Rusenko
A: Frederick County Public Libraries (FCPL) welcomes donated materials within the following guidelines: FCPL accepts donations of popular, lightly-used books and media excluding encyclopedias, textbooks, magazines, VHS tapes, cassettes, or records. Due to limited storage space, we can accept one box or bag of items per customer during regular business hours. Please bring your box or bag inside the library for staff to receive. If you wish to donate substantial volumes of materials, please contact your branch for guidance. Upon request, FCPL will issue you a donation acknowledgement form for your records. For donations of documents and personal artifacts related to local history, please see our Maryland Room page on Gifts and Donations. https://www.fcpl.org/fund-support/donate-books-and-other-materials
