About Fort Myers Regional Library
The first public library in Fort Myers started in 1900 as one room in a store located on the corner of First and Hendry Streets. Today, the Fort Myers Regional Library is home to the library system's main genealogy collection, Cornog Plaza and host to the annual Southwest Florida Reading Festival.
