About Longbottom Coffee & Tea

For nearly 40 years, Longbottom Coffee and Tea has been a part of the Hillsboro community. Our roasting facility boasts a popular coffeehouse serving breakfast and lunch daily. Just like our coffee, each menu item is prepared to order and by hand. Our pastry case is full of delicious treats, including our neighborhood favorite scones, that are baked fresh each morning. From cage free eggs to hand-crafted sandwiches, we strive to provide you with delicious, quality food that reflects the same care we take in roasting your coffee.

Featured Question

Q: I drink the ground LongBottom Fancy Houseblend every morning at home. Does anyone know if packaging can be recycled? Will LongBottom take the foil packaging and recycle it? Any details to keep these out of landfill are appreciated. Thanks!

A: Unfortunately not. Both the foil and tin tie style bags both have a plastic liner and the foil bags also have the critical one way valve assembly which allows the coffee to be packed just after roasting. As a food manufacturer we need to balance environmental impacts with FDA food safety and product quality concerns. Keeping coffee away from air is critical to product freshness. We had to opt for safety and freshness of your coffee over reusable packaging.
