About Great Bear Coffee Roasting
Great Bear has been roasting small batch, artisanal coffee onsite in our Los Gatos cafe since 1991. Founded by the Van Epps family and purchased by longtime community member Abdy Mirzadegan in November 2022, Great Bear is focused on its coffee's freshness and quality. The very first roaster at the Great Bear was trained by Alfred Peet -- yes, that Mr. Peet -- and over the years we've developed our own unrivaled roasts. Our beans grind up to produce a beautifully full, luscious cup of coffee. We start with some of the best green beans and offer a limited selection of roasts, blends, and varietals to ensure the freshness that makes Indoor and Outdoor seating with WiFi. Vegan, Vegetarian, and Wheat Free options. Friendly and welcoming staff.
