About Black River Roasters
Inspiring awareness and sustainability from seed to cup, we feel that we have an environmental and social responsibility to enact change in the coffee industry. By sourcing exclusively Organic, as well as Fair Trade/Rainforest Certified coffees when possible, we directly support small farming communities and collectives around the globe. We roast all of our own coffee on-site at our cafe in Whitehouse Station, NJ. Striving to represent the third wave, specialty coffee movement we maintain a high level of quality control by serving traditional drinks with no additives/flavors. We also provide our community educational coffee workshops to learn about how we roast and brew coffee high quality coffee.

Q: Is your espresso medium roast?
A: In my experience, BRR's espresso beans are medium roast. Definitely not dark/oily. I have pulled many a tasty and fairly complex shot using their beans on my Rocket. Also, beans are always very fresh (roasted on prem). Profile is somewhat similar to Black Cat with the chocolate, but BRR lacks the molasses and is a bit more fruity.
