Featured Question

Q: Why are you guys still using the QR code. Its inconvenient and messes up the vibe. Just let people order at the front if they walk up. It make the cafe very sterile and I constantly hear patrons come in and end up aggravated that they can't order.

A: Because we're two people- a husband and wife owner. This is our only business and we have limits to our payroll budget because this location is relatively slow due to the unique parking situation. Therefore we can only afford one barista per shift, which causes major bottlenecking when we get any more than 2-3 customers at a time. This happens often since students tend to visit us in small groups, which means we were bottlenecking at the register all the time, and the QR codes solve it almost perfectly. I say almost because 1 in 100 customers (yeah, we track it because it matters) will come to us and complain how "inconvenient" the QR codes are. It's not inconvenient at all. In fact, after you enter your payment info the first time, it becomes just as fast as walking up to the register (we've tested it). You can even order ahead and have it waiting for you... so if used properly, the website/QR codes are actually faster. Thanks for your understanding.
