About Second State Coffee
Welcome to our first coffee shop, which opened in February 2012 in Charleston's historic Harleston Village neighborhood. This serene space has custom-built tables made from heart pine wood used in the construction of Charleston's oldest buildings, a stand-up bar with wrought iron stools, and a few black-and-white family photographs. Expect to find our own locally roasted specialty coffee, pour overs, loose-leaf Rishi tea, the best cold brew, homemade syrups, and seasonal specialty drinks.
Featured Question
Q: Why is it called second State?
A: It's the 2nd name of the coffee shop (previously Black Tap). Also the owners moved here from a different state (so SC is their second state). Not political.
